6th mile

I did not get to run yesterday. It started raining late in the afternoon and I was busy cleaning the house anyway. I got the house looking really good; dusted, mopped, vacuumed, etc. Then of course it rained all day (hard!) Not optimal for showing but we had two showings today anyway, hopefully someone will like it. I did run this afternoon, it was not too hard and I sped up a bit and finished 1.25 in 11 minutes or so.
Maybe I will increase my distance next week.

Yes I did

yesterday I ran my mile in the late afternoon. It is getting easier to recover afterword and my legs don't stay as sore as long.

I just wanted to report that I am still working it out. I did not run yesterday afternoon since the boys were home and also because I could barely walk. I also did not get up at 5:30 this morning to run. I did however go out at grit out another 1.25 miles this afternoon. When I left to run it was cloudy but the sun came out and it was really humid. I made it back and am now on the couch. I will try the morning thing again tomorrow.

OWOWOWOWOW!

So, I set the alarm and I awoke around 5am and was running at 5:30. I was really sore from my previous running yesterday. I ran through this pain and it did not really go away but I finished my 1.25 miles and then walked .5. I got home and treated myself to a long shower and then slept till about 10. I picked up the boys and we went to the pool where the Hep and Cooley boys were playing. We will go to tryouts tonight at 5pm I may try to run while they are practicing but man am I sore!

second mile

So I felt that I should challenge myself and go ahead and try to run my mile again. This time however I went in the middle of the afternoon (2pm) It went ok although my legs were kind of like jello having already run once today. I timed myself this time and got home right at 14min. This led me to check the distance in my truck. The actual distance is 1.25 or 5 laps around a track. I then walk to cool down another .5 miles. Therefore my totals so far are 2.5 miles running.
I will try to wake up early tomorrow and go again.

Run

Ok so I have procrastinated for a long time now.... something like 20 years. I have decided to do something about my health and begin running. First off, just so you know, I HATE TO RUN, it is sweaty and makes my legs hurt.
With that being said, I have still decided to run as much as possible, and hopefully I will get to the point where I don't hate it.
Today I started with a short (little over 1 mile) run around my neighborhood. I got up very early 5am and ran while it was cool out.
I did not time myself but I ran the whole time.
I will try to post a time tomorrow.
